SAT Math Trigonometry Problem
This problem demonstrates many of the important trigonometry principles that are essential to master for the math portion of the SAT. I look forward to helping your child master these core principles, and to helping them reach their academic goals.
In a right triangle, one angle measures x degrees, where sin x = 4/5. What is the cos(90-x)?
According to the complementary angle relationship for sine and cosine, the sin(x) = cos(90-x), and so cos(90-x) = 4/5. The correct answer for this question is 0.8.
