Speed reading

Often times in life a person must consume a vast amount of information in a short amount of time. So how does an individual make the most of their time when faced with such situations? The answer is speed reading. So what or how does one speed read?

Sample Problem

Mark is a college freshman. Hes a good reader but suddenly he finds himself overwhelmed by the amount of reading required everyday and hes falling behind because he can’t digest such large content in the time constraints designated. How can Mark over come his reading obstacles?

The solution is speed reading. Begin 1 word in from the first word of each line, and end 1 word in from the last word. DO NOT CONCERN YOURSELF WITH COMPREHENSION. Keep each line to a maximum of 1 second, and increase the speed with each subsequent page. Read, but under no circumstances should you take longer than 1 second per line. After reading the content in such manner Mark now has a basic fundamental understanding of a larger view. The content is familiar and no longer overwhelming. Speed reading helps Mark identify key areas of the content of which he needs to focus his attention and comprehension on. Its cuts out the fluff saving Mark time over all.
