Music Expert, Music Theory Tutor, Flute Expert, Spanish Tutor, Writing Tutor, Research Tutor

Hello! My name is Elisa Alfonso, and I hope I can help! I graduated from East Carolina University Summa Cum Laude with two Bachelor Degrees in December 2016; BA Hispanic Studies and BM Music Performance (Flute). During my undergraduate career, I had extensive research and writing experience, including 4 major research endeavors, one publication in an academic journal, and one research conference presentation on the aforementioned published work. I was also allowed extensive musical and performance experience during my undergraduate career, having performed in masterclass for great artists such as Carol Wincenc, Jim Walker, Alberto Almarza, Viviana Guzman, and for the New York Woodwind Quintet as part of a woodwind quintet I co-founded, "Aerophonix". I have also performed as part of both the ECU Symphony Orchestra and the Tar River Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to these experiences, I have taught classes on music to kindergartners/ first graders as part of a non-profit group called 'Kidznotes', and have had many private lesson students of all ages in many different disciplines. My philosophy in teaching is to let the student's personal goals and reasons for coming to me be the guide and the structure for our sessions together. I also firmly believe in sessions that are engaging as well as educational, and I am deeply motivated to helping you find what learning methods will help you succeed.

Thank you for stopping by my profile, and I hope I am able to help you soon!
