APA Format Expert, Proofreader, Copy Editor
I taught psychology at Trinity College (Hartford, CT) for 19 years. One of my main responsibilities was to teach APA format. Every year, in the fall and spring semesters, I taught the laboratory for the research methods and statistics course. The lab included a semester-long project. Throughout the semester, piece by piece, students wrote an APA-style research report for the project. I explained APA rules and showed students the specific steps to achieve APA format in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Students also learned how to enter and analyze data using SPSS and Excel. I also helped thesis students, students working on group projects, and even my colleagues with APA-style writing, and statistical analyses. – – On a personal note: I love teaching people one-on-one and in small groups. Seeing the look on your face when you realize how much you’ve accomplished is one of my favorite teaching moments. Lastly, this is a two-way street; you will teach me things, too. Learning from you, and together as a team, is a wonderful part of teaching. – – I look forward to working with you!
