During junior and senior years of High school I began tutoring friends and family to aid them in the more commonly difficult fields of STEM. This was soon recognized by teachers running an after school tutor sessions. These teachers soon put me on as a lead tutor aiding any student with a desire to find a second perspective of the same topics they couldn't seem to understand from their teachers perspective. This continued on till I moved away to begin my college career at Western Washington University.
While attending WWU, I managed to continue on with my STEM courses, finding them enticing and stimulating the further in depth we went into the chemistry or biology concepts. I began leading group study sessions and doing private (non profit) tutoring for friends and colleagues. This not only gave me a better understanding of the material but the satisfaction of aiding my fellow students.
Though most my experience is through an informal institution, I have been tutoring those around me for years. I contain a relaxed demeanor and great patience for the learning of STEM. As s recent student myself, I can relate to any others within the field.
