Jack Of All Trades Instructor With Specialty In Social Studies/history, Writing Skills And Math
I am a practicing attorney at law in Massachusetts and Rhode Island; which has served as my second career to that of journalist (which I formulated a 7 year career). Currently, I seek a career in education, holding a 5 year preliminary license in social studies and history for grades K-12. During the past several years, I have gained experience in education; having served as an educator at the RI Audubon Education center, Bristol, RI in which I developed and established tours of the center's museum and nature preserves. I have also spearheaded the development of the 28th Annual Rhode Island Heritage Preservation Conference in West Warwick, RI in 2012-13 (during which I was a presenter in two programs discussing the area's rich manufacturing background). During 2008-10 and 2016-present, I have served as a substitute teacher in four school districts in Rhode Island and Plymouth, MA; often being called upon on short notice to plan and develop students' daily curricula and regimens for grades K-12 in all disciplines.
I look forward to furthering this experience to that of tutoring students in various disciplines and subjects ranging from math to english to social studies/history. My background in journalism/writing would be a great asset to your organization in further developing this most valuable tool to your students. I look forward to further discussing how I can assist you/your organization in its mission.
