Writing And Social Science Instructor
Carolyn Wong holds a doctorate in political science from UCLA and a master's degree in Technology Policy from MIT. She taught social sciences and research methods for 11 years at top-ranking institutions of higher education: Stanford University and Carleton College. She has authored two books, Lobbying for Inclusion: Rights Politics and the Making of Immigration Policy, and Voting Together: Intergenerational Politics and Civic Engagement Among Hmong Americans (Stanford University Press). Dr. Wong is an accomplished social scientist, academic writer, and a skilled and dedicated teacher. She has tutored students at all levels in reading, writing, and research skills. She has taught statistics, public policy, political-sociology,and political economy in the college classroom. She can advise on career preparation, including college and graduate school applications. Dr. Wong enjoys tutoring students from diverse backgrounds. Presently, she is a researcher at the University of Massachusetts Boston, and a research assistant professor at Tufts University.
