My name is Elizabeth Harris, and I have been an educator for over 20 years. I have taught every level, from Kindergarten to University. I taught in city and county school systems as well as private academies. I taught first and second year Spanish at East Tennesse State University as well as created an elementary Spanish program for a local school system. Most recently, I have tutored individual students in their homes and enjoy the one on one dynamic that is fostered and the ability to move as quickly or as slowly according to the student's needs. I also enjoy being able to tailor lessons to fit my student's interests which makes learning that much more interesting and enjoyable. I take a personal interest in helping my students succeed. I focus on teaching understanding and break down complicated concepts into manageable chunks of information that help students feel successful all along the way. Nothing makes me happier than to hear my students tell me that they now understand; therefore, they passed their exams!
