"I've Helped With It All!"
Hello! I am in my 5th year of being a high school special education teacher. I teach a wide variety of students with diverse needs. My content knowledge spans from teaching students who need remedial classes to students who are in honors classes. My passion is reading and writing, and I especially love helping students of all ages with writing. I also know quite a bit with Spanish and have experience tutoring in Spanish.
I am extremely patient and even-keeled. I have the skills and strategies to approach school content from a different angle to meet individual learner's needs. I value showing and explaining to students why the content is important and/or how it is relevant to their life (I have this conversation with my high schoolers on a daily basis 🙂 ).
I have done Home Bound tutoring through my current school district for the past 4 years. I am well aware that 99% of kids/adolescents do not look forward to having to go to tutoring after spending all day at school. With that said, I try my best to make learning fun and interesting…yes even the most boring of subjects!
