### Math Tutor ## Profile

My name is Jeffrey Narcisse and I am a graduate of Sports and Medical Sciences Academy. I have been mentoring middle school students throughout my high school career and have also tutored many high school students in mathematics. The highest math class I have been in is AP Calculus AB and passed with an A. I am a very patient tutor and like to help others understand difficult mathematical concepts. Although, I enjoy math I encourage the students I work with to have fun with it by relating it to things we know such as sports.

This fall I will continue my studies at the Universiy of Connecticut where I will be majoring in secondary education.

## Slope of a Line Posted by: Jeffrey N on Jun 27, 2017

Slope Intercept Form: Y= mx + b , where m is the slope of the line and b is the Y-intercept. The slope of a nonertical line is the ratio of the vertical change to the corresponding horizontal change. In other words, m = (Vertical Change)/(Horizontal Change) To calculate, we use the formula, m= (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
