Profile
I have a PhD in computational geophysics from Stanford and 15 years of leadership in technology development and deployment projects for leading, global energy companies. I have also worked as a seismic interpreter and have developed key patents for automated interpretation techniques for effective identification, evaluation of potential oil reserves. I have real-world experience coding and applying mathematical concepts (calculus, partial differential equations, and linear algebra) to real problems.
As part of my PhD work, I was both a research assistant and a teaching assistant for several geophysical classes ranging from undergraduate to graduate level. In my professional career I enjoyed mentoring new researchers and interns. I also organized discussion groups around cutting edge topics, such as machine learning. I also have a BS in Geology and a MS in Geophysics.
