OSU Biochem Major. Experienced In Chemistry And Math Tutoring.
My name is Kaylee and I am currently a 3rd year Biochemistry major at OSU with a minor in Epidemiology. I am a member of the Ohio State Women's Ultimate Frisbee team, the Volunteer Outreach Chair for the Chem and Biochem Club, and am currently working in a medical research lab studying Spinal Muscular Atrophy. I believe my specialties lie in math, chemistry, and some of the other physical sciences such as biology. I graduated high school with a 3.85 GPA, consistently receiving A's in every science and math class I ever took. As of now, I have been taking various chemistry classes for 5 years, and advanced math classes for 7 years. I currently have a 3.84 GPA at OSU, and was a teaching assistant for advanced freshman chemistry this past academic year.
Over the years my teaching style has evolved into a more casual style than most others, as I've realized that some of the technical terms used in textbooks and by teachers and professors can sometimes get in the way of the core idea trying to be taught. I like to engage my students, and find ways to illustrate a subject in a manner that allows them to really visualize the concept in a way that makes the most sense to them. I have tutored many different students in either math or chemistry, and I always find a unique approach that suits each individual student.
Overall, I am 100% dedicated to ensuring that my students achieve success in everything they do. To me, there isn't anything much better than seeing a student or peers eye's light up when they realize they finally understand a concept, and I feel a great sense of pride knowing that I was able to help them unlock that knowledge.
High School Diploma, top 6% of my class. Junior Biochemistry Major at OSU.
