Hi I'm Kayla! I am an aspiring physics teacher. I am currently finishing up my associates this summer and will be transferring to University of Texas Dallas to join their UTEACH program. Teaching has been a great passion of mine and is something I am very ambitiously pursuing.
Although I have no formal tutoring experience, I am part of a non-profit organization that allows me to work directly with youth ages 11-20. In this program I teach and mentor students in leadership and aerospace education. I have been apart of this program for 14 years and it has allowed me to gain the skills needed to make me the perfect tutor.
My teaching style is primarily based on the students learning style. Since not everyone learns the same, I do not believe in teaching the same way for every student. However, I do belive in teaching learner responsibility but I do this by finding ways that connects the student to the content. A student who wants to learn is willing to learn. I want to help close the gap between students and their education.
Math has always been of great interest of mine. I love the challenge it provides. More importantly, I believe that math can teach you how to excel in all areas of your education. Math is more than just numbers. It's the universal language that connects us all.
Help me help you! Contact me for any questions or concerns you may have. I'm excited to start working with you. Let's dive into this together.
