I have ten years of professional teaching experience in special education. I graduated from Simmons College in 2011 with a Masters of Science in Education, Special Education. I am licensed in Massachusetts and New Hampshire as a teacher of Moderate Special Needs (PreK-12) and General Special Education.
In addition to holding Level I certification in the Wilson Reading System, I am trained in Orton-Gillingham, which allows me to apply explicit reading and writing strategies in my teaching. In addition, I have experience utilizing programs such as LiPS, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Framing Your Thoughts, and Singapore Math. I structure my teaching with sensitivity to the individual needs of my students and infuse my lessons with creativity and technology in order to engage them in their learning.
