English/Writing Tutor Available

After attending a small college preparatory private high school, I graduated from Columbia University in NYC in 2009, where I majored in psychology. While in college, I published a book, entitled "Unwell" and did television and radio interviews. I moved to Alabama to attend graduate school at the University of Alabama. I graduated with my MSW in Social Work and a 4.0 GPA. After working at a residential treatment center for severely emotionally disturbed teenage boys (many of whom had learning disabilities), I received my LCSW. I currently work at a local private school as the sophomore/junior counselor, where I help student to achieve academically, socially and emotionally. My two loves have always been reading and writing, so tutoring those subjects is a natural fit. Whether you are working on a school essay, a college application, a short story or something for publication, I can help! Developing ideas, fleshing out characters, brainstorming, grammar, proofreading, encouragement and motivation, standardized testing in reading/language, essay structure -- we can work on it just some of it, or we can work on it all! Look forward to hearing from you.
