In pursuing my writing degree, I was able to take courses concerning how to teach composition, and I subsequently grew quite passionate about it. I personally understand the struggle that writing can be; when I entered college, I had an inadequate exposure to the task, and it was not something that I enjoyed doing. However, I was fortunate enough to enroll in an English Composition course during my undergraduate studies with a professor who completely changed my mind. I will forever be grateful to her for showing me the way and giving me the boost of confidence I needed. I ultimately pursed English Writing as my major, and I'd love to have the opportunity to enlighten others with writing.
While I have little professional tutoring experience, I've spent a great deal of time with several friends and classmates helping them improve their writing and grammar skills, and thus, gain confidence in their ability to effectively communicate their ideas. It's such a rewarding feeling on both ends, and it is one of my greatest hopes that I can continue to work with others to prove that writing can be easy and fun.
