Graduate Student In Medical Physics Gives Math And Science Lessons To High School And College Students In Little Rock Area
I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics (Biophysics), with minors in Biology and Mathematics. In the fall, I will begin graduate coursework in the Master of Medical Physics Program through the Georgia Institute of Technology.
I have one year of formal tutoring experience as an independent contractor with a local tutoring business. During that time, I worked with middle school, high school, and college students - on both an individual and group basis - on various math and science subjects, as well as on ACT preparation.
I tailor my lesson plans to meet the needs and learning styles of each student. Generally, they consist of a mini-lesson and several examples to serve as a guide through the material. I also encourage my students to bring questions with them so that I can be of maximum assistance. As a tutor, I strive to help students become independent learners, to give them the tools to successfully meet their goals, and to encourage them to be confident in their abilities.
