I recently graduated from Winona State University with my Bachelor's of Science in Teaching, where I specialized in elementary education (K-6) and special education with an emphasis in learning disabilities (K-12.) I was given the opportunity to student teach for two semesters: one in high school special education and one split between kindergarten and third-grade. After graduation, I worked as a substitute teacher furthering my experience in the K-12 system, before taking a position as a high school special education teacher for students with varying disabilities. In the upcoming school year, I will work as a 1-4 grade special education teacher, working specifically with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a specialist in all things K-6, but would love to provide your 6-12 grade student with additional supports in the areas of writing, reading, and math. In the field of special education, I have numerous resources and interventions to upkeep your child's skills through the summer or bring them up to speed for the next year.
