Hi there, I'm Anna. I have 8 years of experience as a tutor and mentor, and absolutely love bringing my enthusiasm for learning to all those that I tutor. I graduated in 2013 with a BS in Neuroscience and am extremely passionate about education, science, mathematics, and most importantly, making learning fun.
I am available to tutor junior high to college level students, whether it be for the full academic year, the SATs, a tough homework assignment, or even an upcoming exam. I'm very flexible in what I can teach; organic chemistry and neuroscience are actually my favorite subjects.
I believe that every student is fully capable of achieving success, whether it be academically or in life, based upon their own definition of what greatness truly is. I find that when students deviate from their own intentions and try to measure themselves up against others, a reversed effect occurs and their academics (as well as self-esteem) suffer. By using an eclectic teaching style that teaches students that their own strengths and interests are their best asset, I help develop goals, master their learning styles, and regain academic achievements. I think that building a trusting relationship is paramount in this process and I am eager to advise the learning process!
