Thirty Years Of Experience Teaching/Tutoring Science, Math, ACT And SAT



I graduated in 1974 from SIU in Carbondale with a degree in Zoology. I began my teaching experience in October of 1974 at Largo High School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. I taught at that same school from 1974 until my retirement in 2005. My teaching load at various times included Biology, Chemistry, Physics, AP Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Medical Sciences. Upon retirement I moved back home to Illinois (summer of 2005). I did a year of substitute teaching at Harvard Park Elementary, and then I got a job as the high school science teacher at Edinburg High School in Edinburg Illinois. i began teaching there in August of 2006, and stayed until my retirement from there in June of 2015. While there I taught Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Anatomy, Earth Science and also tutored students in Math. I have had 40 years experience teaching and have also done a lot of tutoring on the side for subjects such as science, math, and history. I have also taken many graduate courses including advanced coursework in statistics at the graduate level.
