Writing And Reading Tutor
I have experience working with children of all ages. I am currently a substitute teacher at the Jewish Day School, and I am pursuing a Masters in Teaching. I have always adored learning, and I found that I excelled in all subjects. One of my greatest desires is to share my love of learning with all young students. I had the privilege of attending a Waldorf School from grades Kindergarten through 8th grade, from this inspired and innovative form of education I found a deep love of learning that permeated my being. I learned that, "education is not the filling of the pail but the lighting of a fire" (W. B. Yeats). From this education I found many creative ways of learning which allow the child to develop a strong and lasting connection with the material. I hope that I will be able to not only help to share knowledge, but also to impart a deep curiosity and desire to learn more in the wonderful youth whom I work with.
