Hello! My name is Margaret. I am seeking tutoring opportunities in the Rutland, Vermont area. I am a licensed teaching in grades K-6. I have worked in education for 5 years with a diverse population of ages and academic needs. I worked in special education for several years before becoming a licensed teacher. I have worked with grades K-12 and my experiences as a tutor reaches back as far as when I was in high school.
I graduated from the University of Vermont with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. After graduating I began working as a paraprofessional in schools around Addison County. I began working on my MA and initial licensure at the College of St. Joseph in 2015. I am currently teaching first grade and previously did my student teaching at the 5/6 level.
I have experiences with K-6 math, science, social studies, phonics, writing and reading. I am experienced in Bridges Math and Number Corner, Fundations, Lucy Caulkins Readers' and Writers' Workshop and Guided Reading, which are all programs very predominately used in k-6 education.
