Little Bit Of Everything
I am currently a first grade teacher in Sturbridge, MA. This is my 9th year teaching. Before moving to Sturbridge 5 yeas ago, I taught for 4 years in Chicopee, MA where I gained much experience and training in working with ESL students and families. I received my undergrad degree in Education from Bay Path College in 2008 with a license in Elementary Education grades 1-6. I earned my Masters degrees from Springfield College with a specialization in Special Education in 2009. While at Springfield College I was the Education Department's full-time teaching fellow at which time I: assisted professors, planned instruction and presentations, co-taught two undergraduate level courses, and tutored undergraduate students outside of class.
Since beginning teaching in 2009, I've also taken an additional 90 credits of graduate level courses ranging in various scopes of academia. Within this time teaching, I've also worked as: grade level team leader, a positive-behavior intervention support coach, and run after school enrichment classes three times a year.
Outside of teaching, I run a summer camp for three weeks out of the summer working with students of varying abilities from grades K-9.
