## Profile

I love Math and Reading, and you can too. I believe that every student has the ability to learn. As a tutor, my job is to patiently work with you as you tackle challenging concepts. I break these into smaller learning objectives. I highlight your strengths to build confidence so you can work on and improve the areas that you struggle with. I use encouragement and humor to prevent you from burning out during our sessions.

I work with students of all ages and adults as they strive to meet their learning goals in math, reading and language arts. I have mastered how to explain Common Core Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra and Geometry. I use the Barton Reading and Spelling System to help young readers improve their skills. For more experienced readers, sho need instruction in reading comprehension, I focus on the different question types, styles of passages and how to decode (understand) difficult passages. I also have extensive experience helping students to prepare for the Praxis Exam, SAT, ACT, GRE and GMAT.
