I am applying to your tutoring posting for which I think I am more than qualified. I have a long background of being a tutor as part of the way I put myself through school was tutoring in math, chemistry, physics, reading, writing, history, and other courses. I realize that I might be very qualified, which could make someone hesitant to hire me, as I have a PhD in physical chemistry from UCSC. I have already accepted a long term posting that has a start date no earlier than Thanksgiving. Considering the time line of the long-term posting, and my long history tutoring professionally, I feel am a strong candidate. A quick summary of my tutoring experience follows: I have working at the Tutoring Club both in San Jose as well as in Morgan Hill. I have also acted as a Teacher Assistant for a number of courses including, Quantum Mechanics, Physical Chemistry Lab, as well as lower division chemistry courses, where I prepared lectures, course reviews, exam questions, and held very successful office hours.
