I have been tutoring on and off since I was in High School. I am most confident tutoring in the areas and subjects of English and Social Studies, but I also have limited experience tutoring Math. I enjoy being able to not only help students succeed when they are struggling, but I also enjoy passing along a positive experience with learning and instilling on people how much fun learning can be.
I am a new mom and recent college graduate so I feel that I am very relatable to any age. I am willing to work with a flexible schedule and I am very efficient in communication, so you will never be confused or unclear about any directions or information I will provide you. I am excited and eager to help out wherever and whenever I can!

When asked to deconstruct a sentence, you are being asked to find certain parts of speech within the sentence. In order to do this, one must be able to first recognize the various parts and understand what they mean and/or do.
Writing numbers as tens and ones is deconstructing the number, teaching the learner the different number places (ones, tens, hundreds, etc.). When asked to write a number as tens and ones, it is most helpful to draw pictures, either right next to the problem or using a scrap piece of paper.
