Special Education Teacher And Teacher Of Reading Expert!
Hi, I am currently a special education teacher in a high school in St. Paul. I work mainly with reading/language arts curriculum. I have a degree in Elementary Education with a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction. I received my Special Education degree in Learning Disabilities grades K-12. I also have a reading endorsement. I have two children, Ellie who is 7 and John who just turned 5, so I stay busy at home and at school.
I'm looking to work after school with students who need additional help with reading or content area subjects. I can work with the curriculum you are working on, or I can supplement with my own, which ever you prefer, and depending on the age/grade. I am flexible on where we meet. I would suggest a place such as the Woodbury Public Library or someplace like that. With the expertise I have, in many subject areas, my rates are higher than someone without the degrees that I hold and practice each day. Don't let this deter you, let this be a determining factor on who you hire! You pay for what you get is the way I look at it. :) I'm very flexible, and we can discuss that further. I mainly look forward to helping you or your child become the best they can be and be successful in their education. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to speaking to you soon!
