Profile
I am a sophomore biomedical engineer at Tufts University from Farmington, Connecticut. The courses I am familiar with are primarily science and math courses, but I have taken a few psychology and philosophy courses as well. I also row on the crew team and am a part of the culinary society at school because my favorite hobbies are exercising, cooking, and eating.
I was a member of the peer tutoring society in high school at Avon Old Farms where I tutored in algebra, physics, and calculus. I also was a teaching assistant at Avon Old Farms last summer for pre-calculus and geometry. I often find myself tutoring and teaching others because I love to see others having that indescribable experience of accomplishing a goal or solving a problem.
I often approach my problems in unorthodox ways, not typically by the textbook, which I find has been very helpful in my teaching as it gives students a different perspective when the textbook may not be making complete sense.
Just like you, I am a student who wants to learn new information but often times needs the help of a different approach or teaching style. I can relate to learning and solving problems differently, and I believe my methods have proven quite successful throughout my academic career, which is why I make a great tutor.
