Hi there! I've worked with students of all ages, in subjects as basic as arithmetic to as advanced as structural steel analysis. Currently I'm pursuing a master's degree in structural engineering, and already have my bachelor's in environmental engineering and visual art. Through my diverse studies, I've learned to relate ideas across traditional disciplinary boundaries; so whether you (or your child) lean toward(s) analytical or creative pursuits, I can help you understand from your perspective. Though the depth of my experience lies with math, physics, and engineering, I have a broad enough background to move students along in variety of other subjects, like biology and chemistry, or literature and the arts.
You can expect our sessions to be focused and interactive, but relaxed. Beforehand, I like to brush-up on any relevant material. And when you arrive, we will identify some achievable learning goals before getting caught up in our material, and even map out longer-term learning objectives. Throughout each session I will help you become better learner, using the vast array of tools available on digital and analog media. I want to get to know you (or your child) and help you to develop an appreciation for the subjects at hand!
I don't mind driving within my stated radius, and might even be willing to drive outside, depending on your situation. Besides one-on-one sessions, I also work in small groups. I hope to hear from you soon!

Zachary is brilliant, punctual, and patient with my son. His lesson plans are creative and well thought out and I really appreciate the thought and preparation that has gone into his tutoring. I get the feeling that he would be equally capable in all subjects, not just science, as he is a natural teacher and has a wide range of interests and experience. I highly recommend him, particularly for home schoolers.
